2007
2007 has been a good year for Salt Lake City artist Nate Ronniger. In addition to exhibiting at the Bountiful/Davis Art Center and Terzian Galleries in Park City, Ronniger has been recognized for his work with purchases, awards and publication.

2007 Western Competition Winner: Featured in New American Paintings, October/November Issue, pages 128-131.
Nate Ronniger was included in New American Paintings Juried Exhibitions-in-Print magazine, edition No. 72. Each edition results from a regionally focused, juried competition and presents the work of roughly 40 painters. Thousands of artists enter the competitions every year, but only a limited number make it through the rigorous jurying process.

The
Salt Lake County Center for the Arts fine art Collection is a showcase for the best Utah artists and the best Utah art. This collection was assembled so everyone would find something they liked. Everyone finds something challenging. Most of all this collection is a celebration of Utah artists and of creative visions that continue to grow and give pleasure while providing a source for thoughtful discussion and reflection.

Nate Ronniger's first place winner ($1,000), "2 Wrong Turns Don't Make a Right," employs two dead and abandoned automobiles juxtaposed in tall field grass. The harsh afternoon sun reflecting off the cars' rust contrasts with the bright green of the grass, making a sophisticated statement in its simplified brushstroke; Ronniger's piece is a lot of fun to study.

World of the Wild," Nate Ronniger’s painting , “Orbital Inuit Seeking the Emperor” wins an Honorable Mention, Feb. 9 - April 1, 2007
This exhibit was started to provide Utah artists an opportunity to display their works of wildlife and "wildnature" in a setting complimentary to their work. This show has grown to be one of the best venues in Utah for viewing wildlife and nature art.
